You missed the Musical Promo Party and you are still wondering what this year's musical is? ...

It was initially going to be We Will Rock You, a musical based on the songs of the band Queen, named after their all-time hit. The feature songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "I Want It All", "Somebody to Love", "Under Pressure" and many more were going to be in.
The choice of this year's show was between We Will Rock You, Flashdance and Hair and up until a few days ago it was not set in stone. One of the reasons for the hesitation among the organizers was that the original cast of We Will Rock You will be visiting Bulgaria in May. The decision has been made, however, and the rock will be rolling.
Producer Svetlin Kozhuharov and co- producer Ivaylo Shipochki also hope to engage the AUBG community more this year instead of relying too much on outside help.

For the first time there are not going to be only auditions for singer and dancers, but interviews for organizers as well. They are going to be looking for four people for a team, which is only going to look after organizational matters throughout the year.
A sudden change in plans: the musical will actually be ''Memphis''. The announcement was made on the official page of AUBG Musicals on Sunday,16th September and quickly spread throughout the campus. The reason pointed out was a problem with obtaining the rights for ''We Will Rock You''. ''Memphis'' is the official Tony Award winner for 2010. Expect more details right from the organizers in the upcoming days.
