Memory Lane: A Journey Through the AUBG Class of 2025

Some say a university is just classrooms and dorms — but if you ask the Class of 2025, they’ll tell you it’s something much more. It’s late-night talks, spontaneous celebrations, and memories stitched into every corner.

Today, we take a walk down Memory Lane — retracing the steps and stories that made these past four years unforgettable.

Starting Point: Skapto 3 — The Sixth-Floor Cinema

Our journey starts at Skapto 3. Nadana Markovic remembers it fondly:

“I really loved the common spaces in Skapto 3, sixth floor... we would gather and watch movies or something similar. The fun part was that the guards would let us turn off the lights for the movie, which was really cool and interesting, and we just had a lot of fun.”

She also loved the big basement space:

“We would also gather there and just talk and have fun.”

Next Stop: Skapto 2 — Front Desk Adventures, Balconies, Gazebo Secrets, and Bench Talks

Moving on to Skapto 2, Adina Kabidenova shares her special connection to the front desk:

"As someone who was (has been) an RA for three years, as weird as it might sound, it would be the front desk. I have a lot of memories with (the) front desk... especially when other people are there, and you just gather with other RAs, we would play  board games on the front desk."

She fondly remembers playing giant Jenga:

“We built it so high that it was above all of us.”

Moving on to the balconies of Skapto 2, Mika Navasardyan recalls:

"Smoking and drinking on a balcony with my friends when it was Covid times because that was the only way you could actually gather without wearing masks and without RAs harassing you for it."

Nearby, Dua Zhjeqi describes her quiet corner:

“My favorite spot on campus is the gazebo at Skapto 2... we would just kinda do a debrief session, a yap session if you will... and all the Skapto cats would gather somehow and they would sit on our laps.”

And Savina Dimitrova remembers the benches:

“My favorite spot is the benches in front of Skapto 2, where I’ve had a lot of hangouts with friends, and there is always a lot of very cute Skapto kitties there.”

Especially after birthdays:

“After celebrating my roommate’s and my birthdays... we would hang out on the benches in front of Skapto 2.”

A Step Over to Skapto 1 — Balcony Views

At Skapto 1, Nadana’s favorite spot was peaceful:

"There's one specific balcony that I really loved... because I could see people just walking and like the riverside and kids running around, but also during the night you could clearly see the moon and it's really peaceful and nice."

Toward BAC — The Heart of Academic Hustle

BAC was where a lot of studying — and bonding — happened.
Although no direct long memory was shared for BAC specifically by the seniors, it's the natural next stop in the walk toward deeper campus spaces.

Panitza Library — Where Peace Lived

Stepping into the Panitza Library, Greti Georgieva shares:

"My favorite spot on campus actually is the Panitza Library... I really like how the variety of the books there are on so many different topics."

She found comfort among the shelves:

“One of the memories that I have in the library... I just went to the library and I started roaming around the books, not thinking about anything, and it really gave me some peace of mind.”

Out to the ABF Lawn — Where It All Began

Out on the ABF Lawn, Anja Balla recalls the very beginning:

"There were a lot of good times and memories there."

One of her favorites?

"Just meeting new friends and having them until the end of my experience here in AUBG."

ABF Cafe — Conversations That Last

Stepping into the ABF Cafe, Rati Siradze shares:

"My favorite place on campus since my freshman year is the ABF cafe, the outside sitting more precisely."

It’s where friendships were built:

"I've created friendships there that I hope would last for a long time."

The cafe became his go-to spot for everything from studying to deep talks:

"Alongside the friendships that I've made in that place, I've also talked with my friends there about important things."

Aspire — Where Dreams and Deadlines Collide

Aspire carries a lot of memories, too. Hristo Hubenov says:

"My favorite spot on campus is definitely Aspire... it's where community happens."

His favorite memory?

"During a March weekend when The Hub was organizing HackAUBG 4.0... what started as content creation turned into a bonding experience."

Emilia Shirinyan also shares:

"I like to go to ‘Aspire’ to study and talk with people a lot. There, I also won a competition with my friends, which was a memorable experience for me."

Sports Hall — Clubs and Camaraderie

The Sports Hall buzzed with life. Lidija Delchev says:

"I think my two favorite spots are the Sports Hall and the theatre... mainly I would say the theatre because I spent a lot of time there... but club events in the Sports Hall were always fun."

Center Stage at the Theatre

In the Theatre, Aprajita Jayaram found her safe place:

"I've been in the musical since my freshman year... the musical has been my family since my first year, and it's been my safe space."

Lidija too remembers:

"We were basically living in the theatre."

Sports Fields — The Home of Victories

At the football field behind ABF, memories of teamwork linger.

Andrej Zdravko Trajkovski shares:

"Throughout all my years at AUBG playing in the field... sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're disappointed, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but in the end you know it's always a pleasure and a privilege to play."

Zdravko Rashkov highlights his favorite memory:

"I believe it would be our football team winning the soccer league a couple of times there with my team, Villa 13."

And Benjamin Whyman agrees:

"I’ve had multiple very good trainings there and I made a lot of very good friends of mine."

The Final Stop: The Canteen Balcony — A View Worth Remembering

Ending the walk at the canteen, Oleksandr Sysun remembers the feeling:

"When you're tired from classes and you just want to chill and have lunch, you just sit there, turn on some music or some movie, and you just sit, eat... it feels peaceful."

One fun memory from Aleksandar Zemlyakov:

"We laughed a lot with my friends and the food was good... My favorite memory is how I spilled the tea... literally... and my whole T-shirt was wet."

Every corner of AUBG carries the laughter, struggles, and victories of the Class of 2025.
As they step into the future, one thing is clear: these memories will always live here.

Here’s to the memories. Here’s to the Class of 2025.
