This time AUBG Daily decided to focus the camera on the dark side of fashion. Meet Adriana Izmirova, a second-year student majoring in Computer Science and Information Systems whose unique Gothic look makes her easy to notice in the infinite crowds of students in Blagoevgrad.

Adriana is a huge fan of accessories and admits that she sometimes cannot help buying everything that she sees in a accessories stores. "When I go in such a store with all those bracelets and necklaces and earrings I like most of them and I want them all. I always wear accessories."

Of all the pieces that the world of accessories has to offer, Adriana's favorites are necklaces. "Actually mostly I like necklaces and then bracelets. But it does not matter to me if it’s a necklace or bracelet as long as it is original or if it fits my style." When she buys her accessories, Adriana prefers them to be black and to suit her style. Her favorite motifs include owls and dark flowers.

The first outfit that Adriana showed us included a very special item - a corset. Adriana loves corsets and has three or four of them. "Corsets are my favorite type of clothes," she told us.

Dressed like this, Adriana could easily go to a dinner, a bar or to a lecture if she has to do a presentation. "I could especially wear this if I am having a lecture with a hot professor," Adriana said with and ironical smile.

These boots are quite dear to Adriana since she had to spend four long hours to find them. "I spend  hours looking for boots because I have small feet and it’s really hard to find boots that suit me so when I found them I was like 'These are the ones!'"

As already mentioned, bracelets are a specially cherished items in Adriana's jewelry box.

in addition to the gothic clothes, necklaces and bracelets, Adriana is also a huge fan of heavy make up. She rarely goes out without first taking care of the way her eyes look. "I try to wear heavy make-up every day. If I oversleep and I don’t have time,I don’t; but as long as I have 5 extra minutes, I do." Now, she is so much used to it that it does not take her more than ten minutes to do her make up. An interesting fact is that before coming to AUBG Adriana really wanted to become both a designer and a make up artist.

This dress happens to be the only piece of clothing that Adriana ever bought in Blagoevgrad. Still, as she said herself, so far this is her favorite piece. For Adriana, this dress would be the perfect outfit for some of the major AUBG parties or for a date with a handsome guy.

Isn't it amazing how high the heels of almost all of Adriana's shoes are? Nevertheless, Adriana has been wearing such high shoes for a long time now. "When I was younger, my classmates always laughed at me for being so short so I decided to wear high heels all day and this is how I trained myself and I can walk with high heels all day long." Despite the long habit, Adriana admits that her feet hurt like hell every evening, however, she just learned to ignore that.

As it turns out, simply wanting to have a unique look is not enough as it takes time and efforts to find the exact clothes that will match your style. "When I see something that is special and I think it would suit my style I just don’t think twice because that’s really rare. Most of the times I go to a shop and most of the things are just regular and I want something more different."

Since Adriana wanted to be a designer, she started making her own clothes at an early age. She simply took her old clothes and cut them in pieces or sewed something new to them so that they would look different. She prefers working by hand since she does not like the sound of the sewing machine. Despite her dream of designing clothes professionally, Adriana thought that she wants to do something that would provide her with greater financial security. She decided to stick to her second greatest passion - computers. "Ever since I was younger, I was hanging with the guys, playing computer games. Then I started liking to make design for computer graphics and I started doing that. And then I started doing some coding and then I thought 'Why not computers?'"

In her spare time, Adriana likes to draw and write poetry or short fiction stories. In future, Adriana would like to work with graphic design and have her own website through which she would offer her design services.

Adriana did not simply start dressing the way she does overnight. It took her time and inspiration to find out what she likes most and what she thinks looks best on her. Despite the fact that her parents do not approve the way she looks, she managed to come up with what is best for her and stick to it. To all those who are still trying to shape up their own dressing style, Adriana said: "They have to try to think of what they like and I think that their style should express what they are, what they like, who they think they are. For example if they are more optimistic, their style should be more bright colors. They should search. They should buy things they like not what they see on the magazine covers." Adriana Izmirova
