For many graduation is a turning point in their lives. Some go to master programs, others get hired and start a professional career at home or abroad. A few start their own projects. Some get married. Ces't la vie. The possibilities are endless. But what happens to AUBGers after graduation? The answer is not simple. It is hard to keep track of everyone. But there's no doubt that nothing speaks better about AUBG than its graduates. Entrepreneurs, executives, and personalities, you name it. AUBG has it. For those graduating this May becoming part of the alumni will be the next step of AUBGerness. Good bye aubg email and Student Government messages. Hello Career Center employment and alumni association updates. A network with endless potential, career and business opportunities. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I don't need to tell you that you need to look for a job. Whatever happens after graduation is up to you, but you will always be linked to AUBG in a way or another. I mean, why not? As graduates we will support and/or  follow the university's changes (admit it). We will receive updates, we will follow Facebook post and even receive the AUBG Today magazine mailed to our homes. After all, we are also part of AUBG. We are history in the making! In 1991 AUBG symbolized the transition from communism to democracy. A new opportunity for the Bulgarian people. 20 years on, after Bulgaria's accession to the European Union, AUBG needs to redefine itself to meet the new needs of Bulgaria and the region for years to come. But who will utter the first word? AUBG needs us. It is precisely in us that the university finds some of its more committed supporters, as well as severe critics. You know who you are. And that's fine. You need to be there, because this is exactly what AUBG stands for after all. Freedom and opportunity to be critical, express opinions, support or challenge the establishment. That's liberal arts education at its finest. What is next for AUBG in the years to come? You students, all new (and old) graduates, faculty, staff, administration have the answers. But we need to have that conversation.
