AUBGTalks organized a behind-the-scenes workshop on Monday, April 6, for all AUBGers interested in the work of the club, the platforms they use and the production of video content. At the workshop, members of the club presented different stages from their work process, so that students could see each step before completing the final product.

AUBGTalks records the guest-speakers who come to AUBG, so everyone who could not make it to the events, can watch them later on. It was founded by its ex-president Stoil Stoilov. “When I was a freshman there were three events during the same time, and I could not go to any of them, so I decided to start this project, to record everything so people can watch it later,” he said.
Both he and the current executive director, Katalina Dimitrova, shared that their platform is only for events with educational purpose, as that was the initial idea of the project.
Dimitrova said that their only problem is the time, “people have the time to shoot it, but then they do not have the time to edit it, which is our main problem.”
As all of the team consists only of AUBG students, they do not have enough time to post the videos as fast as they would like to. She believes that in the future they will improve their speed because that is their only drawback.

The workshop aimed to demonstrate how AUBGTalks works and what platforms are used in order to complete the whole video-editing process.
There were four big tables – two for the video editors, one for the Web masters, and one for the design specialists. The visitors also had the opportunity to talk to the club's social media person Milena Kuyumdzhieva. She takes care of the AUBGTalks’ Facebook page and the Twitter account. “She is the person who promotes our channel,” Stella Zlatareva, Vice-President of AUBGTalks, said.
On the table of the video editors, the club members were explaining Adobe Premiere , while showing the basics of the program. They were also answering questions related to the Adobe program, as most of the people were beginners in the field.
Nikola Toshev, a first-year student, shared his impressions of the event, “The people from AUBGTalks covered different areas of their development process: shooting, editing, social media and web development. I learned a little bit from each group, like how to manipulate the different sound channels of a video.”

The programmers were gathered on the table of the Web masters. Although they were talking about programming languages, Dzhovani Chemishanov, one of the Web masters, explained that the platform they are using is available to be downloaded, and can easily be used by a non-programmers.
On the last table, the designers were taken over by people, interested in Adobe Photoshop. Daniela Mene, a fourth-year student and designer in AUBGTalks, made clear what part of Photoshop they use and why. She, and the rest of the team, were answering additional questions related to photo editing.
People responsible for shooting the videos were also answering question.
“An amazing event that gives real practical knowledge. More such workshops need to be conducted,“ Stoyan Iliev, a fourth-year student, said.
