The Colors of Early Spring: White and Red

  Red and white woolen strings and a little bit of imagination. This is how you create one of the most popular Bulgarian souvenirs, the martenitsa. On Feb. 24, the traditional Martenitsa Workshop gathered many AUBG students in Skaptopara II main lobby. The workshop was organized by the Resident Assistant Mirela Cholakova and PTPI "Better Community Club." “We are doing it in order to have fun,“ said Cholakova. „It may help you also learn more about Bulgarian traditions.“ Unlike previous years, there will not be a Martenitsa Sale this year because most of the students preferred to keep their martenitsas.
