RJC Hits Piano Bar
The Rock Jamming Club had a live show and proved once again that AUBG is full of talented musicians and true rock fans. Wednesday, December 4, was an unforgettable night to all people present.Despite the fact that the event was held in the middle of the week and that finals are coming soon, students yet again attended the concert and supported their fellow colleagues.
The audience was entertained by 5 bands, mostly new-formed. They consisted of AUBG students, members of the RJC, and featured the special participation of AUBG’s Spanish Professor Yavor Georgiev. Performing a wide array of songs, ranging from Rage Against the Machine to Muse, to The Kinks and Red Hot Chili Peppers with a little bit of Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters and many more, the bands were aiming at creating an unforgettable experience for the audience. Piano Bar was full and the guests were going crazy, singing and dancing to their favorite tunes. The bands put up an impressive performance, as claimed by their fans present.
Some members even proved to be able to play multiple instruments by switching their chosen tools of music expression on stage between the songs. After the playlists were over, they couldn’t help but have a jamming session after, keeping Piano rocking up till 4 o’clock.
“It was amazing, the organization was great and the audience was awesome” said Chanko Valev, freshman and guitarist at one of the bands. “I hope there will be other such events”
The old and well-know faces of the club were also pleased with the performance.
“The concert was one of the best RJC events for me and it’s my third year in Rock Jamming Club.” commented junior Giorgi Rostomashvili, bass player in Spider Grandma (ex-Blondie and the Blacks). “The crowd was remarkable, they were dancing and singing on full. We were not expecting such a big number of people, because it’s almost finals and people are busy with their studies.”
“Effin awesome” was the description of the experience made by Tomislav “Tomy ot Ruse” Marinov, host at Radio Aura and a notable rock fan. Live music shows with truly devoted performers and fans is something the life at AUBG really needs and all sincerely hope that the Rock Jamming Club will continue to organize, as many fans vividly explained after the event.
