The event, organized by JMC professor Diane Rubino, gathered a total of 14 NGOs. The representatives, who were mostly AUBG alumni, had five minutes each to share with the audience what their organization does and how AUBG students could get involved. The event, however, did not enjoy great interest from students as the NGOs present outnumbered the students in Aspire. One Percent Change creates a network of friends that donate one percent of their monthly income to charitable causes. Single Step Foundation helps the Bulgarian LGBTI community by providing online chat support every evening. Students who are interested could assist with the online chat. Trust for Social Achievement aims at breaking the poverty cycle in Bulgaria, mainly in the Roma community. They offer internship position for the summer in the financial sphere and are always on the lookout for volunteers.
