A Pianist’s Thoughts

Anna Stoycheva sits down and smiles. “Hi,” she says. The interview feels like a casual talk with a friend, we have so much fun through the process: we make jokes, we laugh. Deep down, though, I feel like this is no small talk – Stoycheva is sharing a piece of her soul with me. Continue reading…

Living Canvases

This is not a review of the newest sci-fi movie. It is not a story of paintings jumping out of their frames and chasing you around like in a horror film. It is actually a story about a girl who turns people into living canvases. Continue reading…

Dancing Stole His Soul

Tic, tock…Tic, tock…Tic, tock…Boom…An explosion of energy hits Viktor Angelov’s students the moment they go to his dancing class, and the energy bomb is actually him. Instead of simply saying, “Good morning,” he flashes a smile on his face hidden under his curly hair. Afterwards, to start practice, he might change into funny and, according to him “multifunctional”, purple pants that he named “Crocopants” (as they have a crocodile print). Continue reading…

The Newest PhD Holder on Campus

There are some people on campus that everyone knows about. And I am not talking about the party animals or the tutors who do your homework. Without the work and presence of these few individuals AUBG would be a different and perhaps duller place. They have dreams and experiences like every student and sometimes they are students themselves. Continue reading…
