April 16, 2012 greeted the students of Virginia Tech University (VT), USA, with a Memorial Day in remembrance of their killed colleagues in the 2007 Massacre in VT.

Mariana Barakchieva is an AUBG student in the second semester of her senior year with two majors – Journalism and Computer Science and a minor in Math. Mariana has a lot of interests and hobbies. She writes fiction, has worked as a news person for radio AURA and is currently the vice president of the Documentary Film Club. Ever since she finished high school, Mariana had a dream to go to the U.S. Back then, she applied to 11 universities and was accepted to two of them but did not study at either
because they did not grant her a full scholarship. Coming to AUBG was really a compromise and the American dream remained unfulfilled. However, during her junior year she finally managed an acceptance to an exchange program with Bulgarian Young Leaders Program and found herself for one year at the University of Missouri–Columbia. 4th Annual Meeting of Erasmus Exchange Partners

The 4th annual meeting of Erasmus exchange partners took place on Friday, March 30, in BAC. University representatives from multiple European countries gathered to present their institutions and get to know each other in an informal environment followed by a short cocktail. There were some old AUBG partners as well as some potential new members of the AUBG Erasmus network.
