This is Kseniya Linnikova from Ukraine. She is a senior, majoring in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communications. Kseniya is best known for her involvement with theater. She has done three plays of her own, co-directed some more, and designed posters for the performances during those four years in the theater. For those who don’t know her, this is Lora Zlateva form Pleven, Bulgaria. She is a senior, majoring in Business Administration and Journalism and Mass Communications. While at AUBG, she has been part of Radio AURA, she has also participated in theatrical plays and the Documentary Movie Club; she has been a Student Ambassador, and chair of the Commencement Committee for 2013. The Path Less Known

An AUBG graduate to become a teacher in a Bulgarian public school? Why not? Filip Lyapov, class of 2010, shares how he walks the path from AUBG, through Oxford to Teach For Bulgaria. Filip is now graduating from the MPhil History program at St. Hilda’s College, at the University of Oxford. By the end of the summer, he expects to have graduated and to enter a classroom as a teacher in a smaller town in Bulgaria. Fifty four participants have already joined the program, having their positive impact on more than 4,000 students in the country.

The Melon Way

A lecture called The Melon Way: A start up story was held in the BAC auditorium on November 27, 2012. It was part of the lecture series required for BUS 397 Special Topics: Entrepreneurship offered in Spring, 2013 at the American University in Bulgaria. The speakers were Krum Hadjigeorgiev and Petar Svarc who are part of the co-founders of Melon and AUBG alumni. The event was organized by AUBG Business Club, JA Enterprise Startup Program and Professor Andonova, who is teaching the class.
