The Melon Way

A lecture called The Melon Way: A start up story was held in the BAC auditorium on November 27, 2012. It was part of the lecture series required for BUS 397 Special Topics: Entrepreneurship offered in Spring, 2013 at the American University in Bulgaria. The speakers were Krum Hadjigeorgiev and Petar Svarc who are part of the co-founders of Melon and AUBG alumni. The event was organized by AUBG Business Club, JA Enterprise Startup Program and Professor Andonova, who is teaching the class. Minor In Entrepreneurship

An Entrepreneurship minor might be introduced at AUBG. The idea comes from a senior at AUBG, Nikolay Gerdzhikov, along with some successful AUBG graduates – among which is Anguel Anguelov-Mostuna. Gerdzhikov believes that education is about giving choice to students and entrepreneurship is a choice that they need to have. The First Business Department Reception in Four Years

AUBG’s Business Department had its first reception in four years on Wednesday,05.09.2012. The idea was to establish a connection between professors and students outside the classroom. Read more...Environmental Week – Zoo day

Despite the “shaky start”, as Radosveta Miltcheva described it, the Environment week is still going on with full speed at the American University in Bulgaria. Yesterday, March 27, the Zoo Day took place. This event was organized by the Green Campus Committee, People to People International (PTPI) and the Local Zoo. Students from both AUBG and the South-Western University were there to help, enjoy the nice weather and see the animals. Cleaning and painting were the main activities that the participants were involved in. Previous years a day for cleaning the river bed was on the agenda for the week, but this year the Zoo day replaced it. Continue reading…
