“HELP Snejanka” Charity Exhibition
The Women in Business Club organized a charitable exhibition on Friday evening, April 20, under the slogan “Help Snejanka” to support a 12-year-old girl, Snejanka, in her fight with epilepsy, poliomyelitis and hydrocephalus. The event took place in the Regional History Museum and was organized with the help of Rotaract and Rotary Club Blagoevgrad – Centrum.
Soccer Championship Final
And the winners are....
The final match of the AUBG Soccer Championship took place on Wednesday night, April 18, when the teams of Wicked Sick and Black Eagles played for the golden medals. After a passionate and quite intensive game, Black Eagles became the Champions for this semester.
During the first half each team scored one goal. Mario Grachenov from Wicked Sick, and Erald Pengili from Black Eagles marked the goals.
Silver medals for Wicked Sick
The second half was more intensive. In a period of 5 minutes the two teams exchanged goals again. This time the goals were scored by Nderim Rexhepi (Black Eagles) and Petar Kolarov (Wicked Sick).
The winning goal for Black Eagles was scored in the very last minute in a quick counter attack by Roland Rexhepaj. As soon as the last signal from the referee was heard, Black Eagles’ supporters from the audience ran on the field and started praising and congratulating their team.

In the end of the game both teams received their medals. Black Eagles received the AUBG Soccer Championship Cup and will keep it till someone challenges them again in the fall.

SG Elections Results!
Student Government elections are out!
Timophey Koroteev will be the SG President for the next academic year. He was the only candidate and won with 246 votes. His teammates will be Venelina Miteva, as Vice President, and Shamil Mustafayev as Treasurer.
However, the position for Student Representative to the Board of Trustees is still undecided. None of the candidates received more than 50% + 1 of the votes. Marzhan Doszhanova and Ivan Daskalov are the ones with the most votes, 96 and 151 respectively, and will be competing against each other. The second round of voting will take place on Monday, April 2.

SG participated in ESF in Lithuania
Two members of the Student Government at AUBG were invited for a visit to the LCC International University in Lithuania. Senator Ivan Stanchev and Vice president Tim Koroteev participated in the European Student Forum (ESF) on February 24-26, organized annually by the Student Council at the Lithuanian Christian College.

To all soccer addicts, here is the current standing of AUBG Soccer Championship as of today:
Yesterday, Monday Feb. 27, two matches were played. The team of Mimino won against the current leader with 3:2. This was Wicked Sick’s first loss but it did not influence their current position at the top.
Anakonda got 3 additional points due to a technical win against The Mighty Ducks who did not show up for the game.

Martenitsa Workshop
More than 50 people, students and faculty, attended the Martenitsa Workshop that took place on Thursday evening, February 23. The event was organized by the Better Community Club and the Erasmus Club. The purpose of the workshop was to unite both Bulgarian and international students in the process of making martenitsas - the Bulgarian symbol of the upcoming spring.
