A close group of students gathered Wednesday, September 25, in Balkanski Academic Center for a presentation of a new AUBG Students for Liberty (SFL) club. The club will serve as a part of a bigger network called Students for Liberty and, as Alisher Halmurad, the local coordinator of the organization and a president of the AUBG SFL, said: "The purpose of our student club is to expose a variety of students to the ideas of classical libertarianism, provide the grounds for discussions of the concerns of liberty and establish a strong network of libertarian-minded individuals on campus." Halmurad said he hopes students will find the libertarian ideas appealing and interesting to explore. "AUBG SFL is also a great opportunity to network, build friendships, emerge as leaders and have a chance to contribute to the community," he added. The club activities are going to include trips to regional conferences, lecture series, movie screenings, free books projects and "many other activities dedicated to the promotion of libertarian ideas," Halmurad said.
