A Sweater Weather Girl with a Love for Ripped Jeans
At this time of the year the AUBG campus becomes a magical autumn fairy-tale of rusty colors. It seems only appropriate to feature an ultimate sweater weather girl in our column this week. So without further ado…
Meet Aurelija Uzunova, a 19-year-old first-year student from Southeastern Macedonia. Aurelija or, as her friends call her, Leli is one of the few AUBG students who are planning to major in History. Her hobbies include photography and playing the piano for almost 13 years now.
If she had to describe her style in one word, it would be denim. And indeed this charming girl possesses quite a collection of jeans! She even confessed that the thing in her closet which she cannot live without is a pair of ripped knee jeans. She also revealed that she had an abundance of white T-shirts. Are you wondering what her “skeleton in the closet” is? Leli recalls one particular cropped top she has never worn.
Aurelija points Michael Kors and Zuhair Murad as her favourite designers and shares every woman’s love for Chanel. Most of Leli’s clothes are from Stradivarius and Zara.
Leli sees herself as neither an individual trend-setter, nor a follower of fashion. She is simply passionate about fashion and uses her style to express herself. She also admires the style icon Blake Lively. I have to say they have some things in common – from the broad smile and upbeat personality to the gorgeous long wavy hair, which Leli occasionally wears in creative French plaits just like Lively does.

Spending this unusually warm November Friday afternoon with Leli was a delightful experience. One can never get enough of talking to positive and inspiring people. I would like to close this week’s column with Leli’s favourite quote:
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. But the purpose of life is to give it away”
