Student Government elections are out!

Timophey Koroteev will be the SG President for the next academic year. He was the only candidate and won with 246 votes. His teammates will be Venelina Miteva, as Vice President, and Shamil Mustafayev as Treasurer.

However, the position for Student Representative to the Board of Trustees is still undecided. None of the candidates received more than 50% + 1 of the votes. Marzhan Doszhanova and Ivan Daskalov are the ones with the most votes, 96 and 151 respectively, and will be competing against each other. The second round of voting will take place on Monday, April 2.

The candidates for leading positions in the new Student Government took part in a pre-election debate yesterday evening, Thursday,March 29. The event was held in Andrey Delchev Auditorium and current SG President Jaba Shalamberidze was the moderator of the discussions.

This year four people are running for a Student Representative to the BoT: Ivan Daskalov, Marzhan Doszhanova, Nataly Fedchenko, Sheker Myradova, and there is only one candidate, running for a SG President, namely current Vice President Timophey Koroteev. The debate between all of them included questions from Shalamberidze and the audience.
